NLLB has been trying to provide a free cataract clinic for the needy in Flores now for years. We are now working with an Australian NGO based in Bali to try and work this out. This requires flying a mobile clinic to Flores with a team of doctors. There is a huge need for this on Flores as there is not a single eye surgeon on the island. We hope this will happen in 2015!

 

A single cataract surgery costs appr. $60. NLLB will be assisting in providing logistics for the most remote to get to the location of the clinic, including transportation, meals and lodging. We hope to have over 50 from the most remote areas.
