Natalia

Natalia was 9 years old when NLLB was introduced to her. She fell into a fire when she was 4 years old and suffered 3rd degree burns to the back of her leg and knee. The burn scars began pulling her leg and spine, causing her to develop scoliosis (curvature of the spine), as well as prevent her from straightening her leg and bend her knee properly. NLLB was able to get her into the USA for burn grafting and therapy in cooperation with Healing the Children. She remained in the USA for 9.5 months, living with a wonderful Host Family. She returned home to Indonesia in the spring of 2009.
Today, Natalia is 17 and attending the best high school in her area. She has excelled at school and has hopes of attending university. Her dream is to become a Doctor.

Her leg functions normally now and she is preparing for her future!
NLLB has been searching for a second hand computer to use for school. One of our supporters in Indonesia has offered to send a second hand computer to Natalia.

We look forward to watching Natalia’s life unfold!
