NLLB has been praying and waiting for the right time and way to help those affected by
Hurricane Helene. Linley's husband was in Asheville at the time of the hurricane and
has remained in NC, although staying outside of the city at this time. NLLB has had
a Warm Hugs Through Winter Coats project for many years, some years choosing a
specific group to give to including: elderly, children, men, homeless and of course
anyone in need. This year we will be donating to NC. We have a small supply of new,
good quality coats ready to be sent to NC. (Linley shops at the end of the season to
get great deals.) NC is already in the 40's at night and many people lost everything.
Her husband Stephen can accept mail where he is now outside of the city. We will ship
our first box tomorrow. He will take them to an Asheville fire station that is helping people
in need. While we will not have the opportunity for photos of those who receive the coats
we know they will be greatly appreciated.
If you are interested in donating funds for winter coats, please join us. If you can gather some friends and hold a NLLB Luncheon (Soup and Bread) with an opportunity to make a
donation to NLLB, Linley can FaceTime and share some of the work we continue to do.
You can go to NLLB.me to make a donation or send checks to NLLB.
